Flyer

     "Mom, will you take me to the Bridgewater Mall? Cristina wants to get a gift for Kelly's 14th birthday,"

McKinney asked her mom eagerly.

     "This is the fourth time you've asked me this week." Her mom said with disappointment in her voice. "You're going to have to learn to get transportation some other way. It's about time, you're fifteen!

     "Mom, I can't!" McKinney screamed.

     "Sure you can, just ask Jimmey, or Kelly, or something. They can drive, right?"

     "Yeah, I guess." McKinney said weakly.

     "Just find a way!" Her mom said. Well, that made McKinney MAD! She stormed out of the house.

     All of a sudden, her feet where defying gravity! She started floating higher and higher. She then realized that she was flying, and that she could control it! Her first thought was, "Whoa, I need to get down!", but then it occurred to her, "I can fly to the mall!" She started soaring up over trees, houses, and even highways!

     She was feeling happy, and then all of a sudden, she started to go down! She didn't understand what was going on, and then she thought of the fight she had with her mom, and her anger started to rise up again, and so did she!

     Then she realized that her emotions where controlling which way she went. She was soon at the mall, and realized that to come down, she needed to be happy. Then, after she went shopping, she would need to get angry again. She got happy and slowly, she came down.

     McKinney walked into the mall, and was greeted by Cristina. "Where do you want to go?" Cristina asked.

     "Um, I don't know. You choose, Justice or Macy's?" Cristina asked.

     "Justice." Exclaimed McKinney. They walked into the store and looked around.  

     They ended up getting a shirt, a necklace, a pair of earrings, and a bracelet. (You may think this was a lot, but, after all, these gifts where from both Cristina and McKinney.)

     They perchsed the items and left the store.

     On the way out, they got smoothies and cookies.                             

     Cristina's dad pulled up in their car and offered McKinney a ride. McKinney said "No, thanks", and turned down the offer. 

     She thought about the fight with her mother, and she started to float up. McKinney started flying, and in no time, she was home.

     Her mother said "Where have you been, and what took you so long?" McKinney was about to speak, and then she woke up.
