1203bm Baseball Poem

Page history last edited by Keith Schoch 11 years, 6 months ago

Stepping up to the plate,

A-Rod digs into the box.

Down by one with two outs in the ninth,

game 7. The Yankees versus the Red Sox.

Paplebon studies the catcher,

looking for the sign.

This is his moment,

this is his time to shine.

Standing on second,

Jeter seeks home plate.

Looking to get driven in,

and end the wait.

Going through his wind-up,

Paplebon throws.

Throwing a pitch,

That only he knows.

A-rod loads,

gets his hands back.

Hitting the ball,

with a loud crack.

Hitting the ball,

out of the park.

Making history,

making his mark.

Once it left the park,

the crowd went wild.

Doing something A-Rod dreamed of,

since he was a child.
