Share Space Guidelines

This Share Space is your digital portfolio, as well as an archive of all your classmates' work.

 

In order to keep the Share Space organized and productive, please follow these guidelines:

 

  • Be sure to name all your files (especially pictures!) with your student ID (for example, zz115 zebra pic). This step will keep files in order in the folders, prevent files from being accidentally deleted, and aid in the recovery of lost data.
  • Use only letters and numbers to name files; do not use any punctuation or special characters such as hyphens or slashes or apostrophes. Wikis don't recognize these file names, and your work will be lost.
  • Save your work frequently. Clicking "Save and Continue" often is a good habit. 
  • Save your work into the appropriate folder (even if it's not totally done). Occasionally check the folders to be certain you have saved your work there.
  • Leave comments after viewing any classmate's work. Be specific in your feedback. Avoid leaving negative or hurtful comments. Be constructive.
  • In your work and your comments, do not refer to anyone (including yourself) by real name.
  • Please refrain from editing or revising any classmate's writing. If you really have an issue with an error, leave a comment!
  • As much as possible, compose in Arial 14 or higher. Some computer screens show the text in a much smaller form than what we see on our laptops.
  • If you choose to use an image with your work, credit the source. A better idea is to create and upload your own images.
