The Boys Get Even

Have you ever noticed that girls can get away with anything? It seems that if boys do just one little thing WHAM! they're in trouble, but girls can get away with murder... Last summer, at camp for example, there was a big food fight... Okay, maybe the boys started it but the girls were throwing chocolate pudding and dinner rolls just like everybody else!

But guess who got in trouble when we were dragged into the camp office. Mrs Jenkins the camp director demanded an explanation. We were all too scared to even talk!

Finally, our counselor Phil said "I guess boys will be boys"

But Mrs. Jenkins replied "Boys should be gentlemen."

That night she made us sweep and mop the whole dining hall and even wash the windows as we worked and sweated until midnight. We vowed to get revenge on the girls for sticking us with the punishment. Our chance came that very next day...

The morning started like every other day at camp. Cade, John, Mason, Eric, and I all got up at the crack of dawn to plan our scheme. Then our fool proof plan came into action. As the boys and I walked to the art room to do crafts, it all came down to me.

"Hey Molly, what'cha doing?" I asked.

"Ummm... Isn't it obvious? I'm making a wooden telescope for the big star-out tonight."

"Oh, is that tonight? I completely forgot. Can I have yours?" I lied.

"Well, I guess I could make another telescope by 6:30. You owe me a favor!"

     "Yeah, yeah. Okay." I groaned.

I went to Cade and told him to search for any signatures she could've left on it. As he searched the neatly made telescope, he saw her name on the inside the tube. Mason tried to rush back to our cabin.

"Where do you think you're going. mister?!?" Said Amy Fields, the camp art director.

"Well, I was just going to put my telescope in my bunk for the star-out."

"Okay, but be quick." Amy said.

Mason rushed to the bunk, and under his bed was the string we left for OPERATION: GET EVEN. He tied the string to the telescope and wrapped it around a nearby post. As he ran back, it was John's turn in the operation. But as he was sprinting towards the art room, he bumped into trouble.

"OW! What was that for?!? You could've KILLED me!" Exclaimed Annie.

     "Oh, sorry." John said mischievously.eh

"You're gonna PAY." Annie said, angrily.

"Watch where you're walking, young man." Amy demanded.

MY TURN (again). I scooped up a bucket full of glitter and cupped it in my hands. I ran to the bunk and filled the telescope with it. Right then and there, Mrs. Jenkins rang the bell. It was the signal for lunch. As I got in line to get my food, Mason, John, and Cade jumped with anticipation. They were nervous, and so was I. We could barely eat!

The rest of the day wasn't much better. Even in sports, my favorite time of the day, I could barely pay attention!

Time for the star-out! I could relax, take a breather because I knew that our plan could work. After I checked on the finishing touches, I just had to WAIT.

     Time: 6:30

   Plan into action!

   Who? CADE.

"Hey, Molly, can you get my sweater from my bunk? My leg really hurts."

"Gosh boys are so demanding!" She headed towards Amy Fields.

" Hi, can I get John's sweater from his bunk? Just trying to help... A buddy out... Yeah, let's go with that."

"Ooh, very nice! Helping a friend! Go on, now."

As she came back, she threw the sweater at my feet. The rest of the night was easy breezy from that point. Eric and I shared a blanket to lay on as we watched the stars, and so did Mason, John, and Cade.

Now, we head back to the cabin and let the plan fall into action.

After the star-out, we headed to our bunks to watch the glitter fall on Eric's head as he tugged on the rope.

"AHHHHH!" He (fake) yelled. Amy came in and watched as the sparkly mess was plopped on Eric.

They took OUR prank down, and told them it must've been the girls. Right then and there, Molly came in.

"YOU HAVE NO PROOF IT WAS US!" she screamed. I took the telescope and pretended to search for clues... But remember? There was.

"AHA! It says your name right in the inside of the telescope... You must've put it there when you got my sweater." I said.

     "B-B-B-But... I don't know how- Wait... I-"

"Save it. I'm going to report you to Mrs. Jenkins. Come with me, Molly." Amy Fields said.

And that was the first (and last) time the BOYS GOT EVEN.

I liked all of your dialogue and how you made the characters kind of cold to each other. You should check your COPS.

Where I put the pink you do not put a space in the beginning of quotations.

The one in pink: you should of put in on another paragraph because someone else is talking.

I really like the part where molly had to make another telescope. I thought it was really good.
