The Downside of Winning

Chase Mehl-Larson

Today  what we are talking about is winning everything. Some people say they agree because it’s no fun if you lose, but some people think it's fun to at least play. What I chose was I disagreed. I have a bunch of reasons that are going to change your mind about what you will think about winning , so just read and you’ll find out.

My first reason is you play to have fun. Some people just play and if they lose they're fine with it because they at least played. A lot of people don't play to have fun, they play to win, and they put practicing in front of everything. If you play for fun, you'll be nice and kind to people, but if you lose and you were playing to win and you lost, you may be mean to people like it was their fault.

My second reason is  some people take losing too seriously. Here’s an example. If you lose, some people just go into depression. Some people over react like starting to yell and won’t let anyone talk to them. The team that wants to win will criticize you while you're playing and you might get sad.

My last reason is there would be too much bragging. If people are bragging, you might just get angry at everyone in your way. Some people might commit suicide from all the pressure on yourself. Somebody would probably do something you'd never want to do to get the pressure off them.
