Dear Producers,

I am a student at Bedminster Township Public School. In 1964 Universal Pictures came out with "The Island of The Blue Dolphins" the movie. Recently in our reading and language arts class we read the book and watched the movie afterwords. After watching this movie I am very dissatisfied with the movie an I urge you make a change to this movie. I know you didn't make this movie and maybe from this you'll have better results. Mainly because of the special effects, left out scenes, and pacing.

 My first reason is the important scenes left out from the movie. And with this it seems more boring because the exciting parts from the book are left out.. Like when the sea elephants were fighting  now that was very exciting in the book and I really wanted to see it in the movie. Another part left out was the devil fish or the octopus and that was exciting because the devilfish was pulling Karana's dog Rontu into the water and that looked really cool in my head. The last left out scene was Karana's  voyage because in the book her journey sounded so amazing I mean she lived in a rock, she survived from wild dogs, she survived alone, and she managed to stay on the island for 18 years.

 The next reason why you should change the movie is the pacing. The first reason about pacing is Karana was there for 18 years but the thing was she did not age at all. Another reason was that the movie went way to fast like in the book it described a lot about her but in the movie her life went by so fast its like she was there for 4 years. And the final reason were weeks and years about Karana's life in the book and in the movie it really didn't.

 The last reason are the special effects because there weren't really any good ones. The first reason were the cannon balls I mean you could've at least added sound to them but it was just like a mouse squeeking and that wasn't that good. Another reason were the disastors I mean you could've put a big earthquake in to show that its going to be a good movie I mean and for the tsunami you could've dumped buckets of water so it looked like a tsunami it would've been a lot cooler. And the last reason is the blood because there were a whole lot of fights and there wasn't any blood like when Chowig and Orlov fought there could've been blood and also there could've been blood because there were a lot of biting.

 Even though you made a bad movie you should try to improve it. After watching Island of The Blue Dolphins  I am very dissatified with what you made. If you follow these steps you'll get good reviews. Than can you please change this movie. Even though you did not make this movie you made a you can remake it. But you can still make a movie that is ten times better then this movie. I bet you have good new ideas for movie
