Dear Producers,

I am a student at Bedminster Township School. In 1964 you came out with Island of the Blue Dolphins movie. In our reading language arts class we recently read the book and watched the movie afterwards. I am dissatisfied  with this particular movie. I know you didn't make this movie ,and because of this maybe you will have a better result. Mainly because of the special effects needed, pacing, and left out important scenes.

In the Original movie Universal Pictures left out three of the most important scenes in the book. One of them included when Karana fights the devilfish which appears to be a octopus and takes Rontu, Karana dog under water and almost drowns him. Another important scene is a sea elephant fight. Another scene is when the island suffers through an earthquake, and a tsunami.

Also in the original movie there was poor special effects. If you to decide to remake  this movie some modern day effects will fix it up nicely. For example when the cannons fired at the shore from miles away the smoke and the sound of the cannons happened simultaneously, and there was no whirring sound of the cannon balls.I have also noticed no wounds on the injured or dead men

The pacing was also very bad. One example is that the main character didn't age at all when about twenty years went by. Also the movie went by to fast and skipped over many parts and time periods you will have to make it much slower if you decide to remake it. 

Even though you didn't make this movie. But you you can still make a movie that 10 times better than this movie. I bet you have good new ideas for movies but shouldn't you remake a movie that possibly could be just as popular.
