He Who Kills with one Leap

The HOWL museum is looking for predators to be apart of it , and I think that the jaguar should have a piece of it. Even though when think of predator cats such as tigers, leopards, lions, or even the liger. After all its on the top of the food chain after humans, no animal even dares mess with a jaguar but a jaguar. The jaguar is one of the most skilled predators and is the most feared animal in the Americas. The jaguar has some amazing features which make it as good as it is.

One of the jaguars key features are it brute strength. It a known fact that jaguars bite can hold 2,000 pounds of force which make it the second strongest bite of all mammals! Imagine yourself being crushed by an auto mobile that exactly what it would be like if a jaguar bit you! Jaguars have a very unique hunting strategy it would bite at the prey's skull and pierces it to the brain(no other cat does that). there hind legs are so strong that they can climb and jump from tree to tree. Being able to ambush there enemies from above. Would you be able to defend yourself from an aerial attack by a jaguar?

Another cool feature is its paws and camouflage. A jaguar paws are padded so the can prowl ,and climb trees with extreme stealth. Their large paws with claws that are sharp and retractable. They use their large, clawed paw to grip prey, climb and scratch trees to mark them with their scent to define territory. Aren't those awesome paws? There camouflage is important too.Spots on there coat give them good camoflage in there inverment it helps them blend with dappled  pattern of light and shadow caused by sunlight shining through plants. Imagine were ever you went in The Rain Forest you were being watched by jaguars.

There body design is very unique. For instance with the flatter face of a jaguar the eyes are in a a more forward position or binocular vision making it easier to spot prey. Like most cats a jaguar's tongues are covered with barbs that face backwards into the throat. They use these rough tongues as grooming tools, to clean and comb their fur. But they also use them to strip flesh off the bones of prey.Don't you wish I had that kind of tongue? Because the cat eats only meat, it has a short intestinal tract. This is because meat is easy to digest and doesn't require a long, heavy gut, which would weigh the cat down while hunting and reduce its ability to sprint and pounce.

Even though some other animals come to mind when you think of predators. But the jaguar still should be in the HOWL museum. Would you put a predator in your museum which name comes from the Indian word yaguar which means he who kills with one leap. That is why I think that the jaguar deserves to be in the HOWL museum.
